Theres loads of them >.< Not that I mind bugs too much but they're just, in the way a lot. These tiny little black squirmy things keep landing on us and computer screens and you just notice this little spec moving across your screen and thin "Oh for goodness sake" A huge moth kept flapping around bumping into the ceiling last night while I was reading too. And it wasn't like it was small enough to not make any sound while bumping it was like "crash, bump, smack" every time 'cause of it's size. And my poor plants, well.

Anyway, travelling today, scone for breakfast x3 I hope I have everything I always manage to leave something behind when I go somewhere, it may not seem that important but I just like to have everything. Ah well. :)

So yes, this is what I look like when I blog xD But NOW I have my new hair cut. I have an urge to post one of these like every now and then just to show myself blogging and how terribly interesting it is to see what I look like while doing it...

I don't always wear glasses, though I think I need to at times lol. Maybe glasses with plain glass in them, tehee >.> I need to make some more biscuits at some point, the last batch has finally ran out.

Homemade

What a nice word, with a nice meaning. Homemade. It reassures us of care and originality, organic and comfort, of skill and practise. I love the word and I want to be able to learn the crafts of being able to make many homemade items. I learnt how to wind wool properly today and that it is an art form in itself. And also that some believe it is best that you wind some wool yourself to get a feel of it and put a certain essence into it. So my nice but few wools I have have all been wound into balls and I'm pleased. There is just one massive skein that I have to wind now.

Anyway, talking of home made I made a Strawberry and a Tin y Heart :D Though I adapted the heart pattern for double pointed needles. I'm still learning about knitting, and I'm pleased with my progress. Yes I'm probably using the wrong needles and the wrong wool and all that sort of thing but I'm learning. And despite that things are turning out the way they're supposed to. I've also been buying needles too to suit patterns I've found and hope to tackle at some point x3 Here's a picture:

I guess I'll just build up needles and wools and everything over time, of course. I hope to learn to Crochet at some stage too, though it seems 10 times harder than knitting hehe.

It's raining! Properly! At last!!!! And thundering, and lightening, it's so exciting :D! My poor plants can finally have a decent drink and the heat won't be back for a while, not until august anyway they say. (Though it may be wrong, meh) I need to get some plant feed for my tomato plant, it's going a bit...strange. The bottom leaves are going yellow and theres more and more tomatoes coming up on it so I think I should probably get the feed now to help feed all the plants babies (Which will be picked and eaten in a few weeks, mwuahaha)

I'm making another quiche at the moment, it's currently in the oven :3 Asparagus, onion and mushroom, we'll see how that combination comes out. Oh and finally got some red and green wool from school for the strawberries x3 I'll get set on trying to make them once my needles come in the post which will hopefully be SOON! (I was hoping today but never mind, maybe tomorrow :D)

School is...boring, der. Art i'm enjoying thoroughly though, maybe because I have a new teacher, I think thats more the case to be honest. It's all free and clean and they odn't know me and I can chat to them and YEAH! lol. I'm also sorting out our 6th form area and getting things done that should have been done before I even went into 6th form. Like a microwave for instance...I asked for one to be put in about 2 years+ ago and they still haven't so i'm trying to raise money for one, it's only £30 not a lot for something so useful. And me and a couple of friends are starting the kitchen box project. We're having a little box for us with some tea, sugar, coffe and hot cocholate in it so we can feel more comfortable at school. There other ideas which I have too but yup thats the jist of it.

I made this little phone thingy for Hayley too x3 I actually like it more than the one I made for myself so I'll be making another for me soon, all snazzy like this one. And thats basically all for the moment. Just hope the quiche comes out nice :)

No food

I made a curry today. After much frustrations and annoyances. Though I made it up as I went along so I think I can sort of remember it as I want to try and make it again. There was enough to freeze up and use for another meal sometime too :D I made pink rice with it. Rob approved hehe. And it was very satisfying. I was going to take a picture but we were so hungry that it was gone in moments, well not that fast but you get the idea.

We're doing a big shop tomorrow to get everything we need. Stock up on all the small yet important things and foods and stuffs. To be honest we need it, we have hardly anything in our cupboards that are easy yet tasty and I want to do some baking. I also need to stock up on some wools for knitting as i've been neglecting learning that recently, bad me.

I should really be doing school work but, but...Rob is here and....yeah i'm just being bad lol. It'll probably all be done on sunday or something knowing. Ah well heres the first page and beginning of second page.

I just can't understand it...

Why do people have to be vegans? OK, fine. You don't like animals being killed. But whats wrong with the things they produce naturally? Milk or butter isn't harming an animal. I guess you could argue eggs in a sense but they have no babies in them. The majority areunfertilised . I'm only just coming to terms of why people are vegetarians But I will never be able to tolerate vegans. It's just taking it a step too far.
I like food. I like all sorts of foods. So I would never fight against something by not eating. If I didn't agree with the way animals were being treated I would be tackling the problem more forcefully with legal action, evidence and publicity to get the place where they were being mistreated changed. So fair enough if you just don't like meat but what sort of reason is "I don't like the way they're being treated"? Buy free range, or actually go to these places where they do mistreat and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Not eating the produce will do nothing.

Please people, enjoy your food. Stop restricted yourself because of your over exaggerated views. Try new things, it's more than likely that you'd like them. Plus, despite what anyone says you DO need that balance diet to be healthy. You haven't got very long on this planet so why deprive yourself of anything. Try new things, learn new things, try and experience something new often. You'll be the richest person in the world for having life and wisdom.

On a different note those pots became to exspensive for me so no nice new plant pots for me :( Oh and I found a white moth on my white orchid so I decided to take some photo's:

It's stupidly hot still, 32 degrees or something, urgh. I had to have the fan on last night it was so warm. Though we went for lunch today at a carvery and I guess it was alright but it was £3.50 a head so what do you expect. For what it was though it was nice, and they certainly weren'tstindgy with the meat.

I'm constantly amused and amazed by the different types of people on this blog, how creative and funny some are and that they take it rather more seriously than I do. I wish I had something to show everyone and be proud of on here, maybe even sell. Would be nice to start up some sort of crafty-ness like that. Specially as I need the money. I need a plant pot for my new orchid but I can't afford it yet. Sad isn't it? Ah well, next month maybe, well, no. Pinch, punch, first day of the month :P So hopefullyI'll have some money soon. I'll get some more images of my orchids up soon, for the moment I'll give you an image of the one my boyfriend bought me :)

I just need to do as little more washing today and clearing up and then I can relax and perhaps go for a walk in the evening when it's cooler.

Interest

So I'm back at school, and oddly enjoying it, compared to before where I really just couldn't be bothered with it and only went at certain times because I had to. But now. Now I actually want to go into school, do my work, get good grades. But after this year it's a bit of a blur, I don't know how I'm going to stand on the uni front or looking for a place, or making money/career for myself. So at the moment I'm just centering on now, and what's happening.

My driving test is getting booked for the beginning of august and hopefully I shall pass at the beginning of august too. I have noticed myself getting better over the months, lets just hope it pays off. My goal was to pass before September and I am determined to do it. The only set back is that I have no other practise except on my driving lessons, so I may need to book a few more closer to the time. To think it mayonly be in about a month or so and I may actually pass. Luckily I took my theory before they jacked up the price of it to about £50, it's ridiculous. Talk about milking money out of people during hard times. I guess everyone will just be waiting longer to take driving lessons and tests and opting more for public transport.

My vegetables are coming along nicely, and I have a few small green tomatoes coming up on a vine on my plant. I have around 5 more vines popping up now too with lots of little yellow flowers on them. Hopefully I'll get a good few and I'll be able to give a couple o vines out to people. I'm not sure when I should be pulling up my carrots but I think it may be soon enough, give it a couple more weeks and I've been picking a strawberry every few days off my strawberry plant. So all is good on the botanic route. I haven't tried much on the cooking front though been doing a couple of bits of baking and made some muffins the other day which are super yummy. There's also a job lot of plant pots on eBay that I hope to win and collect soon enough. They're all sorts, shapes and sizes and would definitely do with a good home, my home :3

So that's all I guess, I need to learn a few more skills and crafts I think and I can't wait for the blackberries to come out. x3

I made a quiche!

And i'm quite proud of it. Because, I've never made a quiche before and I actually like it...which is odd too because I usually don't like them. And I made the pastry :D
Yeah anyway, I should be revising for my theory but...yeah >.> -slacking-
I'm growing some strawberries and a tomato plant outside :D and also planted some carrots :D No shoots yet though, not sure how long they'll take to come up, if at all.
some of the plaster stuff came off of next doors house because of the wind today, so not sure what the landlord is going to do about that, probably put some plastic over it and that's it knowing this lot, they're useless, seriously. They won't deal with anything wrong in this place.
Anyway, heres the picture of the quiche, taken with my phone because I couldn't be bothered to take a proper picture. It's got cheese, bacon and onion in it :D <3 Enjoy:

So this is just rude of me...Not posting in such a long time. Bad me :< I have kinda a bit to tell thoguh at least. My driving is getting better, My theory is in 2 weeks :D and i've seen some people and been to a garden party which was just fabulous and all that. The decorations were too nice. I've knitted a hat!! A pixie hat! xD And about to start another one slightly better this time and starting from the other end lol. It's coming up to mine and my boyfriends 6th month together, I believe we shall be going into London for a nice luncheon and then going on the London Eye in the evening :) Hopefully it'll be all romantic xD (Hopefully i'll have enough money D:)

Preserves

So i've made some spiced plums (and 1 nectarine lol) and jared them up :D I'm quite proud to be honest. And with the end juices I made a jelly/chutney/jam thing whatever it is it tastes yummy so wasn't going to throw that out. Got a picture soon of the jars. Theres three but the small one is the left over-yummness and the big on is the spiced plums :D. Going to be doing the tomatoes next, just need some more jars. Yumm sun dried tomatoes, just hope I can do them right :D

Also I've decided I'm going to buy a big sort of plant pot and grow some veggies. Should have gone to Notcutts today really, never mind. Always tomorrow. Erm, drivings going well and it's almost Easter! Don't know if I'm excited or not, heh. Don't' care so much about sweets now as I used to when I was really little. It's just a spring holiday where we'll have some lamb and yummy roast seasonal veggies. Mmmm. Food lol. Really feel like going for a walk but there's no where to walk around here, it's just depressing because everywhere else I've lived there was somewhere interesting to walk like a wood or some such. Just kind of disappointing. Though the weather is a bit hit and miss today, first heavy rain and then sunny again. Little showers and then a bit of sun pops through once more. Good old English weather for you there. Clocks go forward tomorrow oooerr. Losing an hour but no harm in that, just means I'll learn to get up a bit earlier, which would be a good thing all round :D I think I'll get some twigs and put and Easter tree in the middle of the dining table this year.

So it was red nose day and I watched the show for the most part, what amazes me is how we can raise about £58million and yet we're in a recession? Erm...what? How does that make sense...On year where we were apparently fine money wise we raised around £20mil. Hang on..has everyone gotten less greedy or something? Kind of goes against how the times should be at the moment. But never mind at least it goes to a good cause.

I've been drawing, finally, but it's only a W.I.P I donno if I'll finish it.
Reading through the Narnia chronicals again, every night when I go to bed (and usually stay up too late reading them >.<) Is it bad that I get through 1 of the books in 2-4 nights? By nights I mean about 2 hours once settling into bed. I don't want to read them so fast, they're too lovely for that D: Never mind. It's the weekend. Oh joy....Yeah I sound excited. I prefer having the house to myself thats why. I miss my Mister. I should really be in bed, it's 4:14am. And what time zone is this blog on because it certainly isn't mine o.O...lol Ah well, thats all for now. I think i'll do this rainbow thing that seems to be floating around bog space at the moment. Seems fun :). More on that tomorrow.

So I had my first proper driving lesson yesterday and it was great :) apparently I did really well. I hope to pass by September so I've given myself a goal to achieve. I should try and get the theory done as soon as possible. That's a bit daunting :S but I shall prevail! lol I found out one of my friends passed today too :D! So that's good as well, we're all getting along in the world. I just need a job now. Or something that brings in some money. Should probably sell some stuff on eBay again, that gave me quite a bit last time I sold stuff on eBay. Oh On the Saturday that the mister was here I mad a Beef Madras from scratch but extra hot. Well, it certainly burnt my mouth off but apparently wasn't hot enough for him lol. And I wouldn't mind I put 3 chilli's in instead of 1. No pleasing the wicked. I didn't eat it because I'm not into that sort of food, I don't believe food is enjoyable if it induces pain. Made a different Indian dish from a pot for me heh. But I'm definitely going to try making more Indian dishes, specially as it's cheaper than buying a take away. But need to work on more juice and such. Going to make some sweet things tomorrow seeing as I have some oats and bought some new golden syrup so I'll look up a nice recipe or those things perhaps :)

I have the urge to learn to play the flute...Odd eh?

And here's the pancakes I made xD Less than 20 mins between making the pancake mix and on my plate with a cupper :)

Pancakes:
6 Heaped spoons of flour
1 Egg
1/2 Pint of milk (or as much as you like so it's thicker or runnier as you like it.)

Whisk it all up in a bowl and let it rest for about half and hour to an hour to let the bubbles come out of it. Or you can use it straight away if you really want pancakes lol. If you have left overs pop it in the fridge and give it a stir the next time you use it, it'll be lovely :)
When it comes to cooking you need a non stick pan and 1/4 cup of oil. Put the oil in the pan to heat up till it's nearly smoking and then pour the oil back into the cup. Then ladle the pancake mix into the pan and tilt the pan round and round to make the pancake bigger. Flip it once it's not runny on the top any more and then it only take about 1 minute to do the other side and there you o you have a pancake!

So my motherboard came today for mycomputer and I fitted it but the system is still a bit quirky. >.< I'll need to format it when the mister comes down on friday. Not long now x3. Also I can now start uploading images :D so i'll start by addin one of Pip, the naughty ginger boy.

Lol in my wash basket with new washing but he'd tipped it over. Glad everything is working with my pc now. Just need to start backing up everything now so that it's quicker to put it all back on later. The hassel. Never mind, least it's fixed.
My dad managed to book my driving lesson for a day when Rob is here, not convenient at all but least i'm getting a driving lesson at last. Hopefully I'll pass this year. Should start studying the theory now I guess.
Think I might make some cakes or something tomorrow. OR! Pancakes...now....because I want them.

I missed Pancake day

Well I say missed, I thought "Can I be bothered to make pancakes?" and the odds outweighed the benefits of making them so just sat back and watched tv. I should have written sooner but theres nothing remotely intereting to write about in my life at the moment.
Well, sort of.
I went to get my injection last wednesday and I din't get any of the side effects like the first one but now it's come up in a terrible lump, I think if it's here by the end of next week i'll go to the doctor about it. While I was in town I had a look in the job centre at the jobs, isn't as much as before that i'm qualified to do :S worrying but i'll manage I guess. My mister is coming down this friday to fix my computer finally, yay!
I'll finally be able to upload photo's and do all my normal things again, i've been without a my computer for over a month now and it's killed me. Oh and having my first driving lesson this week too, so thats going to come along nicely I guess :3
I made tempora and fajita's for dinner tonight. was rather yummy, though weird but starters and main, I felt in a slightly creative mood and the aubergine in the fridge needed using lol so that along with some sweet potato, carrot, mushrooms and onions (I know "onion rings" but who cares they were nice) Think I might make them again soon. Going to make a beef madras for the mister this weekend too, I don't eat it because it's too hot for me so i'll just have to see how that turns out. Or I may make it earlier and freeze it and then reheat it during the weekend. Better than ordering a take away bu we'll probably end up doing that over the course of the weekend considering guest and all lol.
Hm, should be going out job seeking again on wednesday with tony along with me because we're both jobless slobs it seems. I'm hoping the job in the shoe shop is still free. Ah well, never mind.

Masks

So I applied for a short term job today, well that's a first step I guess. It's promoting a paper door to door but it has really good pay (£6+ an hour plus commission :D) minimum 20 hours a week so that's good :) Anyway, we have a mouse in the cupboard and it keeps raiding the biscuits and my cooking ingredients and for the last two nights we've left the door open on the cupboard so the cats can catch the mouse but there still hasn't been any small corpse about the house yet so....we'll just have to leave it open again and see.
I made some muffins the other day too, they were....strange hehe. Not sweet enough and I really shouldn't have added those nuts but never mind, I've learnt my lesson. They're nice enough though and with a cup of tea they're good. Just more savoury than anything. I'll start getting some images up with every post soon once my computers fixed, that's going in tomorrow and I may go into town to see if there's any jobs going in the shops there. I wouldn't mind working in some of the shops where I can see people every day and interact with people. I could never work in an office, too monotonous and just...bleh. Not for me. Hm. Talking to the mister about going on holiday with my dad and his other half down the the south coast of England where I used to go when I was little. Needed a lot of persuading but he came round so I'll tell dad to book it for 4 people and not 3. To be honest I can't wait even though it's a few months away and hopefully I'll have some decent money or/and work by then. Still, it's roughly 6 weeks till I can see my guy and it's killing me. Missing the cuddles and kisses and such else but I guess that's uni for you. We're both worrying about money and work at the moment and what we'll do for the future.
I'm going to start informing the school soon that I want to return in September and finish my course and I may go down a different route. And prepare myself properly. By then I hope to have learnt to drive and have passed so I don't have to worry about lifts anywhere. I just need to sort things out in my life slowly but surely.
My cousin is having his 30th birthday party this Saturday, it's so weird to think he's so old now heh. The theme is 70's 80's and 90's or something along those lines and I have nothing to wear. I may see if Dad and Steph want to go shopping during the day on Saturday to get outfits.
Ah well, coping and holding I guess.

Baked Bread

I made some bread today :3 But I think the recipe was a bit too soggy so it didn't cook very well but it was still yummy x3 Shall hav some toast with it in the morning. Haven't really got much else so heres some things about me :)

1. My name is Holly Lauren Morris.
2. My natural hair colour is mousy brown with a touch of strawberry blonde highlights. (naff >.<)
3. I used to study photography, art and design and resistant materials (woodwork).
4. I dropped out of school because I was too pressured at home.
5. I am currently looking for work.
6. I've had a job before in which the managers were kind of bullies.
7. Travelling to as many places as possible is something I must do.
8. I have a boyfriend and his name is Robert McIntosh.
9. I know he's smarter than he thinks.
10. I suffer from depression.
11. I prefer hanging out with boys rather than girls.
12. I would consider Hayley my closest friend in this country now.
13. I'm starting to like life without school.
14. Art is beginning to grow on me again. (Thank god)
15. I plan on buying my own house within the next few years.

Snow~

Snowing lightly again. Yet it's really thick up where my mister is. Typical really, as soon as I leave somewhere the snow comes. I wonder if it'll settle again here though, would be nice, I want to take some images of it, snow is lovely to take pictures of. The drive into the farm is flooding and my wellies don't fit :< So I had to lurk along the verge to get round it when I went to post a letter. On the way back I went into Nottcuts and had a look around at the gardening stuff, little animals, fish, pretty things and cakes. I had the intentions of going in for a new herb that I could put on the windowsill along with my parsley but got totally side tracked while finding a nice pot for it and ended up buying cat toys and a jam swill roll (Which was hard in the morning because someone left it uncovered ¬_¬) And on the way home I got caught in the beginning of a shower of rain so I got in a had a cup of tea with some cake while the cats enjoyed their new toys (one of which has already be lost/stashed away somewhere.)

Managed to add a couple more recipes to my lists, one being a cauliflower soup I had at a friends and another being my best friends Swedish meatballs. So they got added along with a rather nice sounded tomato sauce to go with the meatballs. I feel like making bread now, don't think we have all the ingredients. I still don't like olives unfortunately. Scampi for dinner tonight :]

Range Stove

Well I've recently been looking at a certain blog on here called Pea Soup and thought I may just start one up myself and get myself to be a little more interesting while doing so. A new years resolution was to start a sort of journal [Tick :D] and now I guess I wouldn't mind doing this also. I also want to start making my own recipes up, or perhaps using others and adding my own touch so I can have some of those real motherly type of foods which my kids will remember (when I have kids eventually that is but it's never too soon to think about these things). I've just been inspired recently and I so i'm going on a sort of creative spurt which is never a bad thing and certainly not for me since I really should get back into my art. I feel like making a painting for my grandparents too, may start on that soon.

Yes I probably will use more typed face than necessary but I guess thats just the way I am :3 I'm said to express myself through my face an awful lot. Heh.
